فیلم Slumdog Millionaire (میلیونر زاغه نشین) در حالی ناجوانمردانه اسکار بهترین فیلم را از آن خود کرد که فیلم های خوب دیگری از جمله The Reader ، doubt و یا حتی The Curious Case of Benjamin Button بودند که شایستگی کسب اسکار بهترین فیلم امسال را داشتند.

البته از حق نگذریم فیلم خوش ساختی بود و به لحاظ فنی و تکنیکی قوی تر از بقیه بود ولی به لحاظ محتوایی ضعیف تر می نمود. این فیلم نامزد ۱۰ اسکار شد و در نهایت جوایز هشت بخش را از آن خود کرد از جمله بهترین موسیقی متن اثر راخا رحمان (Allah Rakha Rahman) یا همان ای.آر.رحمان آهنگساز ، خواننده و تهیه‌کننده موسیقی فیلم که در ادامه می توانید گوش کنید.
